The Stables
Stylish, spacious and luxurious country-house style cottage, once stabling for horses, now accommodates two people in great comfort. This is luxury self-catering. Secluded and private in beautiful surroundings, a place to unwind, relax and luxuriate in the tranquil ambience of the Stables at Longfield.
A short avenue of leafy Pin oaks leads to steps down to the veranda of this secluded nest of a cottage. Double French windows open into the living room where a big squashy sofa invites instant relaxation. Chairs with plump cushions beckon, a coffee table for travel maps sits in front of the fireplace with a basket of wood nearby, complete the picture. Wildlife prints line the walls while coffee books lie on Old Cape country tables, with the occasional English antique adding to the eclectic and inviting home from home feel. The bedroom, shielded from the living area by a 'nib' wall has a king size bed and painted furniture and leads to the bathroom, once a tack room, with bath and separate shower. The fully equipped kitchen (with a gas hob) is situated in the last 'stable' of the cottage. The covered veranda sports a built-in sofa layered with cushions for any-time snoozing, directors chairs and a table complete the perfect spot for all day lazing.
The perfect place for long stays as well as short stays.
An inverter battery backup system is in place.
The owners regret that Longfield is not suitable for children.
